I learned to sing from my parents who are both singers, but started formal singing lessons when I took up a choral scholarship at The Queen’s College, Oxford during my undergraduate degree.
Outside of singing, I am studying for a PhD in stem cell signalling. Additionally, I am a keen baker, and enjoy combining these two parts of my life into “science baking”, which has produced a number of weird and wonderful things including a shortbread immune system, an abstract depiction of a stem cell in Victoria Sponge, and, last but not least, my (in)famous anatomical heart cakes.
What I enjoy most about the Discovery Bach Cantata Project is being able to sing high quality music in a small consort setting with other like-minded people. I always look forward to our rehearsals!
